Youth Therapy Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact you?

Please email us or call our office at 905-689-8721 ext. 601.

Is youth therapy confidential?

Yes, anything you share with a therapist in a session is completely confidential. We cannot share any information about a client with anyone, including a parent or guardian unless the client has notified us otherwise.

In the event that a client's safety or the safety of others is at risk, the proper authorities will be notified by the therapist.

What can I get therapy for?

Our therapists can help you to manage anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger and navigate stressful relationships. They can assist you in managing school and family dynamics or just your general mental health. You can also receive help with grief, loss, abuse, trauma, and PTSD.

What can I not get therapy/support for at Eagles Nest?

At this time, we are unable to provide specific support or therapy for addictions, severe eating disorders, or personality disorders. If you are currently receiving professional support for those conditions, we are happy to come alongside those therapists and provide support for your general mental health. If you need support for these conditions, you can reach out to our Program Team if you need some recommended resources.

What if this isn’t a good fit?

Our primary goal is always your positive mental health and that you feel comfortable in your sessions. If you wish to try another therapist, please let our program team know and we will facilitate that change. If we are not the right resource for you, we will try and assist you in finding an alternate resource.
