WHO WE ARE

Our Story

At Eagles Nest we know that change is possible. We equip individuals and families to make those changes happen in a safe and positive environment.

In 2005 we opened Drummond House, a transitional home for women and children. In 2017 we opened the HOPE Centre, our community counselling and coaching centre. We operated Drummond House until the summer of 2019 when the site was reclaimed for commercial purposes.

We also operate Rescued & Restored, a 6,000 square foot thrift store in Freelton. Rescued & Restored opened in 2010 and financially supports the programs of Eagles Nest by selling furniture, household goods and other items donated by the community.

Eagles Nest is a registered charitable organization.

Our values shape what we do and how we do it:

Compassion

we embrace others with compassion, without judgement or shame.

Love

we pursue each action in love, demonstrating dignity and respect.

Inclusion

we create a safe place, accepting and welcoming all people.

Integrity

we maintain integrity in our actions, reflecting honesty and trustworthiness.

What
We Do

We help people understand themselves, care for their mental health and learn new tools for healthy relationships. We offer counselling, coaching, support groups and programs to adults, youth, children and families. Our services are low-cost or subsidized to help make them accessible to everyone. We welcome everyone for who they are, without regard to religion, ethnicity, race, gender or sexuality.

Vision

Hope Restored, Lives Changed

Mission

To provide a supportive environment where people are equipped to achieve positive change and build healthy communities.

Identity

Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of Eagles Nest. We show grace and give unconditional love to others because of Jesus’ love for us.

Behind Our Name

The name Eagles Nest had personal significance to our founder as a place of rest and restoration. Eagles Nest was also chosen as it a reminder of God’s promises. Isaiah 40:31 says: But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
