Are You Ready for Coaching?

When writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen.  --Harley Davidson

Maybe you have read our previous blog “Is Coaching for Me?” and think coaching is right for you. But how do you know if you are ready for coaching?

Coaching is work.  You are ready to start coaching if you are ready to do the work.

In coaching you get to write your story and you get to feel the success, but you also have to do the work to get there. Your coach will help you dream bigger, reach higher and will hold you accountable to attaining your goals but that requires a dedicated commitment from you.

Answer the following questions to see if you are ready for coaching:

  • I am willing to be accountable to another person.
  • I am willing to eliminate or change any self-defeating behaviors that may limit my success.
  • I will be honest with my coach.
  • I am open to talking about my dreams, visions, and goals.
  • I am willing to consider new ideas, behaviors, and values.
  • I have goals I want to achieve that have not yet been reached.

If you can answer yes to these questions, then let’s begin.

If your answers are no, that’s okay too. You might just need a little more time.  We’re here when you are ready to start.
